move to Michigan. We will miss this popular barmaid, And we wish her
a speedy recovery.... For she has surly lost her mind ... Moving to Michigan in

Club 54 is located on 54
Ave N., St Pete FL, just west of Route 275, next to the Race Track gas station
in the Days Inn Motel. Formerly.. Cell Block 54. I've been stopping in for a
couple of weeks now and the place kind of grows on you. I find myself going
there more and more since I've gotten to know some people there. This is a real
friendly place and it don't take long to make friends and it's kind of nice to
know that the motel is right there in case you might need it !.
They have Karaoke on
Thursday afternoons from 2 til 6 PM and I'm told it's the only place
around that has afternoon Karaoke during the week. This works out great for 
people that have to work or people that are retired. Painter Dave is the Karaoke
guy and does a great job. I think you can catch him also on Saturday Nights at
the Pinellas Park Eagles. They also have a great mix of Karaoke singers and the
place is usually packed. Scroll

Now as I'm out and about I mention to people that this is a great place to hang out, I sometimes get the negative remark... "You mean the Monkey Bar", well ... It's true that the new owners of Club 54 were the owners of the Monkey Bar, But let me tell you.... THIS IS NOT THE MONKEY BAR. There's no comparison between this place and the old Monkey Bar, and I have been to the last two old Monkey Bars.
One
very important item that I forgot to mention when I added this Club 54 page is
" THE FOOD"... Yes.. they have a nice menu and the food is pretty
good. I've had their Nacho's and the Coney Island Burger, both were very good
and all the prices are very reasonable. I understand their pizza is a
favorite.... I'm gona try that next!
But you know.....There is some things I miss about the old Monkey Bar... So just for old times sake..... Here's a little memory of mine, from the Old Monkey Bar....

The next
