CUBES FAVORITE BEACH PLACES
Vinnie on her boat at Shell Island
THE DRUNKEN CLAM
Vinnie and I stopped by and checked out the Drunken Clam after I got a myspace bulletin from "Bad Kev" saying that some friends of his have taken it over and we should check it out. Great little place just off Gulf Blvd. on St Pete Beach. It used to be called South Beach and the name is still on the place , so look for that if you go and try to find it. Real friendly place, good service and great burgers, good place to watch the Bucs games. I understand the steamed shrimp are pretty good too! And
they are Biker Friendly

I've been wanting to stop in and check out PJ's on Indian Rocks Beach for sometime, but just never seemed to get there, so one afternoon I took the time to stop by.... Wanted to see some friends that work there, that I met at Beer, Bike's & Babes Biker Bar.
Tell Angie & Shadey man that "Cube" Sent ya when you stop in. Now I'm from York PA, and that's close to the Chesapeake Bay down Baltimore MD way... The home of the World Famous Blue Crabs. Crabs and Crab cakes in the Chesapeake Bay area were great, spiced just right, and there's only been a few places in this area so far that I found that make good Crab Cakes and this is one of those places. Now I have to tell ya, I was cruising the beach on my Harley the day I stopped in, it was a Monday afternoon and the beach places were dead. But this place was packed and it don't surprise me... the food is great and the prices are right. The barmaid was a fun person and I met another cool chick there that came out to talk about my Harley and bike'n. Turns out that her and her husband are bikers and the barmaid just got a motorcycle. Them Bikers are everywhere.... so stop in and check out this great Restaurant. The Postcard Inn (Formerly Travel Lodge) Another old
Beach Hang Out GONE.. what a Shame...
The PCI Beach Bar (Formerly Swigwams)
Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 I was out
Harley'n on the beach and thought I would Anyway.. I rode to the Beachcomber Beach Bar next door and they were packed ..Live music, Lots of young good looking honey's in the pool area and the inside bar was packed and only a few seats at the outside bar.. So I hung out there and spent my money.... Looks like this will be the place to go.... Ride your bike back the left side of the building to the motorcycle parking area... They want your business. I stopped in to check this place out on Sunday, October 25, 2009 and I was not impressed with the bartenders at the New PCI Beach Bar. It's the same scenario that I've seen many times in this area as businesses have changed hands and the new owners just don't seem to have a clue. Believe it or not many of those places have went out of business and most of those owners were from New York, same as these new owners ! Must be something to that New York Attitude ! The bartenders, if you want to call them that... Didn't seem to have a clue how to tend bar. One girl even held the booze bottles with two hands as she struggled to pour the drinks. These bartenders wouldn't make a pimple on the old bartenders ass, they were absolutely clueless. It must be a New York Thing. Remember the assholes from New York that bought Carlie's? They didn't last long! But ...now that I beat them up, lets look at some good things ( The reason for my mixed feelings). You know as well as I do, that the whole complex was getting run down and needed to be remodeled . What they did, from the outside anyway, looks good and the motorcycle parking area is nice. New tables and chairs and the bar has some much needed improvements. Now if we could only have the old REAL bartenders back... instead of these clueless kids! Stop in and check the place out... Make your own opinions, but I think a lot of people are going to find a new place to hang out! The new owners have made some pretty dumb comments about the people in this area and there are some pissed off people right now.... Here's one comment..
I'd love to see the locals
boycott this "establishment" and watch it sink. These NY City fast
talkers may have snowed Starwood Capitol into thinking the property couldn't
hold it's own, but.. I beg to differ. And, to call St ...Pete Beach locals,
"stupid crackers" says Hall Hanson, and we're the "redneck
riviera" says their ingenious press speaker personel ( http://postcardinn.com/blog/
). Spend your money downtown, or at ANY other location. Down with PCI.

Caddy's on Sunset Beach........ Great place to spend the day at the beach. They provide chairs and tables for the beach ( Don't forget to tip the chair guy) and they have great food and beverage prices. Bike's park to the left of the building, cars to the right in the parking lot.

Undertow Also known
as the Camel Toe
The Undertow Beach Bar is a great place to hang out and it's a favorite stop for bikers on the weekends. Parking is the big problem here. Ride your bike, no place for cars. A little pricey for drinks, but there's lot's of eye candy. A favorite place for the college crowd... especially during Spring Break.
Woody's Waterfront ....nice bar and restaurant on the intercoastal right on the water. This is not really a biker hang out, but a great place to hang out on St. Pete Beach. Good food and good prices. The sign below say's it all.....

This place has changed hands
several times since I wrote this review.
South Beach Tiki Bar & Grill is a good place to eat on Maderia Beach. Nice inside or sit outside on the deck and you can even sit at the bar outside. Parking is a problem at this place during busy times, so ride the bike. They have a nice menu and some unusual items.. good place to have a make your own breakfast.
